About Me
Owner, Occupational Therapist
I graduated from West Virginia University with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Health, and a minor in Communication Studies. Since beginning my career in 2014, I’ve had the privilege of working across a wide range of settings and with diverse populations, giving me a unique perspective on the continuum of care.
I began as a traveling occupational therapist, completing 13-week assignments in Ohio, Virginia, and Florida. During that time, I gained experience in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehab, home health, assisted living, and outpatient therapy. From there, I transitioned into home health, where I supervised COTAs, provided memory care training, assessed for power mobility, and recommended home modifications to improve patient safety.
After another move to Florida, I worked PRN for multiple agencies, helping to grow their OT caseloads from the ground up—supporting expansion to full-time staff and serving many patients with conditions like COPD and low vision. I later became a clinical liaison for an inpatient rehab facility, where I completed medical assessments, facilitated insurance authorizations, and built my skills in leadership, collaboration, and healthcare systems improvement. During this time, I earned my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in healthcare, deepening my knowledge in creating quality-driven, efficient systems.
When my family moved to Washington State, I shifted into school-based occupational therapy, serving a small district of five schools for four years. In this role, I supported students ages five through 21, strengthened my evaluation skills, and collaborated with teachers to implement strategies that improved classroom success. Inspired by a family member’s Parkinson’s diagnosis, I became certified as an LSVT BIG clinician and am currently completing the School-Based Sensory Intensive Certification through the STAR Institute.
Throughout my career, I’ve grown by following the needs of my clients—whether patients, families, or students. My wide-ranging experience gives me an understanding of how different settings connect, overlap, and ultimately impact the whole person. My passion is helping others gain independence and improve quality of life through functional, individualized care.
With Anchor Point Therapy and Consulting, my goal is to fill gaps in care for agencies, parents, and caregivers. I strive to provide holistic, practical insight drawn from years of experience across multiple settings, offering a unique perspective to the clients I serve.
